farewell, live journal!

This summer has been one to remember. Met some memorable people, been to some memorable places, seen some memorable shit, and had a memorable time. Valiant will never be the same without Tommy and Adrian. I already miss that kid and his ADHD. I'm glad I still have a couple weeks with Tommy, and I can't wait for the saosin concert. I absolutely cannot wait 'til thanksgiving or winter break, when the triple threat, brett, me, and adrian are reunited. Tommy and Big Goodman, Rachel, and everyone else. God willing, JayHuh will be on leave and join us, if not, the 10 days that he is here for in september will be the whole fucking summer crammed into less than 2 weeks. Maybe horse the band will be in town? Tonight, I said bye to Adrian and Josh, and damn will I miss those kids. As depressing as the night was, it went down perfectly. I couldn't ask for a better time. Adrian, don't get stabbed by your roomie, and remember, if he brings a ghetto TV, il buy you a new one for thanksgiving. Thanks to everyone who influenced my high school career, even in the most minute ways, and I hope to see you all again soon. And I'll be around, with a lot more time on my hands. Between school and work, I won't have a lot going on except following prison break, planning trips to visit people, and finally catching up on my video gaming after 3 months of barely playing. See ya, live journal.

Well, I am back, for a few days at any rate, because im goin' to visit brett in L.A. in 4 days, but here are some pictures and stories from the last week.

ok, so as our plane is coming in for landing, I kind of freaked out. There was a small beach, then a road, and then a fence. After the fence, the runway began. Between the ocean and the runway was about 10 yards or land. I didn't think our 757 wouldve made it, but we did.

This is maho beach:

right after that fence on the left was the airport. Yeah, not a lot of room.

There were plenty of these signs though:

and they weren't exxagerating either. This guy Garret we met told us how he was just hangin out on maho beach, watching planes land, when a 747 went to take off. Since the runway is about 300 feet shorter then the recommended length for a 747, those guys had to gun it. And let me tell you, standing 30 feet behind 4 turbines is NOT PLEASANT. When we did it, the sand began whipping around like crazy. It felt like some one was hitting you really hard with a belt sander, and it was especially shitty when you were wearing only shorts and a hat. Anyways, Garret told us he saw a kid start running into the path of destruction behind the jets right befoire take off of a 747, and as they throttled up, this little kid was blown atleast 10 feet into the ocean. just by the force of the jets. it was nuts.

ok i jacked this picture from airliners.net, but it paints the picture rather well.

heres my bro on that same beach with a 747 coming in for the landing

ok who else can honestly say they ate at a TACO BELL//KFC in the carribbean?

we also rented this car, it was rediculous. My brother taught my how to drive stick on it though, jay's RSX, here i come!

we met a few french people, the ones that spoke enlish were cool, and the one that barely spoke it was hilarious, mainly because i didnt understand him half the time

this place is an alcaholic's dream home though, because for example a liter of absolut was 6$. Johhny Walker black label was nearly 100, instead of the roughly 200 they sell it for here, grey goose at its cheapest was 18$. They also sold absinthe, which i brought back. A small flask was only $10. Also, they had this booze called mount gay rum, and me having the maturity of a 8 year old, thought it was hilarious.

heres a night shot i did of our hotel, its long exposure and sort of blurry

h

this is me and my bro in philipsburg, the main city on the dutch side, with some cruise ships in the back

this is me, drinking PRESIDENTE beer like it was cancer vaccine. Hey, the drinking age there is 16, so it was legal.

and finally a map of the island.

the airport was right above that 'dutch side' flag, and our hotel was directly across the lagoon. in one day, we left our hotel, went to philipsburg (low right) then to orient bay, which is upper right, then to the airport, and back to our hotel, doing a figure 8 type thing around the whole island. It took no more than 5 hours, plus we shopped and ate, and hiked to the highest peak on the mountian in that time. The driving there is insane, though. Every one drives either these:

or

that van was shorter than my nissan sentra. Ofcourse there was a variety of other really small cars and vans and trucks, but then you would get now and then some douche in a hummer. Keep in mind that the roads here are about 6 feet wide per lane, with no sidewalks. Plus the elevation changed all the time, and climbing a 70 degree incline in that small ass hyundai took for ever. Driving was definately brutal out there, considering there were TWO TRAFFIC LIGHTS on the whole island.

overall the vacation was fun, but it turns out we went "off-season" and there werent many people in our hotel. the dutch side had more people, plus most of their shit cost american dollars, and not euros, like the french side.

Today, I came back, and almost immediatly left for jay's house. I brought a gift I purchased for jer. Get this, i got him a bottle of this shit called Puschkin Time Warp. It was 3 euros, and it said "bear power energy" on it. Thats the only reason i got it, but that stuff was actually pretty good. It was like an energy drink that tasted very fruity, but shit, for 3 euros a bottle, id drink it every day. Jer called me around 1 in the morning telling me how it was the best gift he had ever received.

I gave jay something even better, and much more expensive, that i think a lot of people enjoyed there. The rest of that stuff im bringin to LA for me and b-hubs and sylvia to down.

Say bye to Jay if you haven't yet you ungrateful jerks, and Jay and Bowers, best of luck to you guys, see you in october, and then again many times in 4 years.

Well, first we went to the beach and Sylvia and Kuba have pics of that. It was fun times, except for when i lost at baggos, and when we got a parking ticket. Yuriy was all like "dont park here" but they did it anyways. Why am I always right? I'm not sure. Anyways, then we went and cleaned up and had us a good ol' fashioned bbq on my deck. At first it was just me, then sylvia and jay came. Jay is a professional teriyaki style chef and grilled some mean burgers. Then Jacob, Tommy, Adrian, and Brett came, followed my mollie, carrie, stephanie, gianna, and some one else i think that i might be forgeting. maybe not. So we ate, played more baggos, had some delicious watermelon, and then brett had to go pack and everyone left, so i watched harold and kumar with gianna, and it was good times... so heres some pictures. PLUS SOME PROM PICTURES OH MYGAWD.

the trifecta of gayness:

Mollie, why cant you just smile for once like im'm doin'?!

and now a collection of pictures i call "the XTREMEness of frisbee-ing"

now a few from prom

I SWEAR THIS WASN'T PLANNED!!!

gnomeland security...lols jay!

michelle had to google this to find out how to pin flowers

fin.

I am in dire need of a professional chiropracter, 'cause my neck and back will never be the same after tonight.

The sleeping played, and they weren't on the original line up. they're ok. criteria was nothing special but their bassist looked like he was like 57. he was bald except a crazy ass skullet and enormous beard. Fall of troy was nothing short of phenomenal. The guitarist/singer is one of the most creative players ever, and he had some neat pedals and shit. HORSE THE BAND was fan-fucking-tastic. As long as im alive, i will never miss a local horse show, ever. Poison the well was alright, I'm not a huge fan of them, but they really got the crowd fired up. I talked to Ben, i think i saw Betsy Gregg, and we met some crazy guys from bensonville or something who we got to prank call tiffany, but she was being a total bitch! i kid, i kid.

anyways, this show goes down on my top 3 i've ever been to.

and emery and anberlin april 10th, i can't wait

little kids are stupid

One of the funniest things happened last night. I went to the TMS battle of the bands with the valiant guys and did merch after their set. The kids went ape shit and swarmed the merch. We ended up selling out of shirts, and selling a good 50 or 60 CD's. The funny part was this little kid, 7th or 8th grade, wearing a HIM shirt and eye liner came up and bought a cd. A few minutes later, a few kids ran up all worried looking.

"Dude, this kid broke your CD!" and they showed me a valiant CD thats been bended a little. I asked them who did it, and it was that "stupid goth-lookin' kid". Little kids are funny.

I just started laughing, cause the kid paid 5$ for what? to express his anger? what a fuck tard. why didn't he just download some songs at home, burn them, then break THAT cd and save himself $5.

random thoughts from today

My new Ride Kink 06 is a huge improvement from my old board. I am in love with it.

The terrain park at chestnut was great. There were more rails than a train station.

Jay's death mix would make Tucker himself proud.

Evan's death mix wasn't that great, but did the job.

I want a Camelbak now.

The Real Ultimate Power book is worth the $10.

War of the Worlds sucks. So does Lords of Dogtown or whatever other shitty movie we watched.

Running a quarter mile to KFC was the best reason to get exercise ever.

Durty Nellie's 1/15/06 pictures. Take a look.

Note: The pics are nothing special, I just burned my name in them to look cool and professional. Just let me pretend I'm a pro, ok?
Note 2: They are big.
this will be the last update for 2005, so here goes:

today, an egg was thrown at my car. while we were in it. so we chased this fuck head down, pulled him over, and it was 3 of the biggest pussies we have ever met. adrian gets out, starts fucking with these kids. hes like "what the fuck, listen fuckers, i will fuck you up unless you fuckin clean that shit off the fuckin car right now" or something along those lines...he used the F word quite profusely. the kids were scared shitless, and one of them ended up wiping my car off with his shirt and jacket, it was hilarious. then we hung out in some car with nice heated leather seats. then went to buffalo wild wings, AND THEY WERE OUT OF LEGS. wtf. fucking gay. and mollie didnt pick up her phone, so we just left and ate sandwiches at jers house. by the way, the goodman residence is one of the best looking houses ive ever seen.

look forward to yuriys 2006 updates. cya.

FINALLY! can be found on our purevolume and myspace sites (/spyduandkoodawg)

also makai//coventry was fun times, seeing is how i havent been to a local show in quite some time. good to see the people who go to those things. hung out with tommy, whos finally back, it seemed like months, and brett which was fan fucking tastic. also stephanie got me pie and it was terrific. then me and jayhoo went to my bro's, where i showed off my new phone and ate some chicken nuggets.

also, arrested development is a funny show.

a few things happened today that i didnt think would

1) i saw rago with jayhuh!! hooray.
2) i got the Matisyahu: live at Stubb's CD. hooray for hebrew reggae.
3) got lost in long grove/lake zurich with adronaline
4) said something ive been meaning to say for about half a year now to some one
5) got so mad at my phone that i punched adrian in the face until he started bleeding and passed out, so then i dropped his body off in some forest for the raccoons and beavers to eat. ok i didnt do that, and since adrian doesnt have a computer, he wont be able to read this til school starts up again. so disregard that.
6) jerbear
7) did something i havent done in around 3 weeks
8) hit 28 hours of play time on dragon quest 8. ITS A FUN GAME OK!!?
9) looked at new cell phones, hopefully i'll be getting the motorola rokr. depending on funds ofcourse.

cya

fuck, well, tonight was the last brigade show, and it was good and bad times simultaneously. Im willing to bet that me and adrian have seen more brigade shows than anyone else, we saw em with brett before brett was in the band, we went to chicago and indiana and shit, and it was definately great times and great memories. good luck to all of them, with whatever they choose to do in the future. the 2 shows were absolutely a blast, and i got a couple pictures.

afterwards, we went to brunswick, cause there was a best buy hosted bowling session. i won, with a score of 114, against jay, crippled adron, this dude andrew i work with, and this guy casey whos awesome. there was seriously like 70 other people we work with, it was fun. and brett was there, chillin chillin.

wellll cya

FOR SALE

MicroKorg and a PSP!!! look inside for details, and buy it cause im too lazy to get an ebay account.

Ok the microkorg has barely been used. it comes with all original box, manual, charger, mic, and all that good stuff. il toss in a midi cable (50$ or so) and the software for that as well.

http://korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=microKORG

go there for more details and specs.

$330

as for the PSP, i have the original box and charger and headphones and manual, i didnt put any patches on it, so you can still use emulators, but cant surf the net. it has a screen cover to protect from scratches. Itll come with THUG remix, NFS underground, and supertroopers, once apon atime in mexico, steamboy, and spider man 2. on the memory card, i have doom, a working snes emulator, and it has chronotrigger on it.

$220

why is it only 30 cheaper than the retail price? probably because im giving you $150-200 in software and movies and accessories.
